Emma reports that he decorated the dock at our lakeside home with Colts players and a close friend, who is also a photographer. Ryan created a path of rose petals and candles leading to the dock where he was waiting for Emma and Jake. Ryan and Jake were dressed in tuxedos and had marquee letters behind them reading “Marry Me”. Emma says, “It was extremely romantic. It was precious because the dock has been our favorite place to spend time together whenever possible.”

The couple invited 290 people to their wedding at St. Francis de Sales Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. This was followed by a vibrant reception that included dinner and dancing on May 1, 2020. Emma says that Greenacres Art Center was the perfect venue for their reception due to its elegant and enchanting feel.

Planned their Wedding

They planned their wedding in the midst of the pandemic. Lisa and Somer were their wedding planners to guide them through the many twists and turns. The bride said that the wedding was not too heavy and that they were able to find a solution for all possible scenarios given the frequent and sudden changes and challenges Covid presented.

Invitations Featured a Custom Illustration

Emma and Ryan wanted to make their weekend memorable so they organized a party and an after-party. The invitations featured a custom illustration inside each envelope that gave guests a peek at the venue. The invitation featured a custom-designed crest with the couple’s initials as well as a floral wreath that was reminiscent of the wedding flowers.

Emma fell in love with a Monique Lhuillier trumpet dress with puff sleeves and detachable cape. The bride recalls that the gown was elegant and romantic, and that the cape and sleeves added a little drama.

Her gown was paired with a custom cathedral lace veil with pearl and Swarovski crystal embellishments. Emma wore her grandmother’s custom lace cathedral veil with pearl and swarovski crystal embellishments.

Ryan wore a custom Gentleman’s Playbook tuxedo in black and a Rolex watch (that matches the one Emma wears). ).

What about her hair?

The bride states that she didn’t want a complicated style that required me to constantly fix it throughout the night because she was going to be dancing. I wanted something simple and classic that would match both my dresses without me having to alter my hairstyle. They are underrated. This classic, straight hair was perfect for the evening.

Her nails were finished with a lacquer in an off-white ombre and she wore her current everyday fragrance, a combination of Jo Malone’s Mimosa & Cardamam and Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Indhira said that her scent changes as does my style. “Sometimes, I feel feminine and whimsical while other times I feel strong-willed and bossy. Jo Malone fragrances fit perfectly into my current feminine, whimsical streak.

Indhira recalls that while I was doing my makeup, my mom felt a rush of emotions. She burst into tears. It was such an adorable moment. I love my mom so much! After she had gotten it all out, she said “OK, I’m done. I won’t be crying the rest of the evening.”

Wedding gown that speaks to me or my style

“Historically, I have not seen a wedding gown that speaks to me or my style. I’ve seen many. I spent hours looking through every website and Instagram account of every bridal designer, hoping to find the right one for me. Indhira recalls that Justin and Hailey Bieber were married, and then I saw the dress. “Hailey’s custom Virgil Abloh dress was stunning. The gown spoke to me and my style. It fit me perfectly. It was not meant for me, and I couldn’t duplicate it. Over 100 gowns were tried on, beautiful dresses that didn’t feel right for me. I didn’t want to be a princess in a ballgown. My gown should fit me, be contemporary, and have a touch traditional.

It was dizzying. She recalls that her mother and I had four appointments at the bridal salons after we had been to five other salons. “After the second appointment, I was so frustrated that I cancelled the other two and went to lunch.”

Finally, she found the perfect style in Pnina Turnai’s stunning gown. Indhira recalls that the gown felt just right for her. It is similar to Hailey’s style, but it is different enough to be original. It fit like a glove.”
